What are your store hours?

We are open year around but our hours vary depending on the season. Check our home page for our current hours.

Do you deliver?

Yes, we can deliver your product to a home or job site. Please contact our office for our prices and conditions.

Do you ship plants or product?

Unfortunately, we cannot ship plants or product.

Can you install my plants?

Yes, we can install your plants. Installation is provided by J & S Landscape and Design. Please contact our office for our prices and conditions.

Can you special order a plant?

Most of the time we can.   If you are in search of a specific plant or are in need of more items than we have in stock, complete our plant request form in order for us to start research to provide you with an estimated cost and time frame should we not have the item in stock.

Can I special order furniture or other product?

Typically yes, our furniture is customizable and can be made to order. Other product may not be available for special order but you may inquire with our office.

Do you warranty your plants?

We warranty and guarantee our plants are health and disease free when they leave our nursery. However, we cannot ensure the plants will be properly cared for therefore we cannot ensure their survival. Be sure to pick up and review our planting guide when purchasing your plants. Our team will be happy to discuss other care requirements your plant may need.

What does “hardy” mean and what is our hardiness zone?

Hardiness is the lowest temperature a plant has been observed to survive. Our hardiness zone is 8a, some areas near by our area fall in the zone 7b. You may click on our resource link below to review the map and obtain more info on our hardiness zone.

I bought a plant from you and don’t know how to take care of it?

If you purchase a plant from us we can educate you on how to properly care for your plant. You may refer to our general plant guide or stop by our office to learn more about your plant.

Do you carry deer resistant plants?

Yes, we do. In fact we can provide you with a list of deer resistant plants.

I have a plant that I think is sick or diseased, can you help me identify the problem and a treatment for it?

Yes, we have experts in pests and diseases on plants that can assist with your concerns. Bring in a sample of you plant, along with pictures. Please bring your sample in a bag. You may also email us with pictures. Your problem may extend beyond the plant and into your soil or the environment the plant is in. You may be directed to the NC Coop-extension for more assistance.

How can I tell how much mulch I need?

Bring us your bed measurements and we can help you with the rest.

I am a vendor and I think my product would be an asset to your product collection. How can I get more information to you?

We pride ourselves in having quality and unique products and we do that in various ways with our vendors. Should you be interested in sharing your product you may send an email to info@jsnursery.com or mailing us your catalog or samples to 8115 Hwy 70, Newport, NC 28570. If we are interested in your product we will reach out to you.
